DH Dwyer Opticians is run with a family feel and offers a personal service to patients still living in their own homes. If you are unable to attend a high street practice unaccompanied due to illness or disabilty then a home eye test is the ideal solution.
Based in South Wales, the practice is able to provide home visits with the latest mobile equipment, throughout South and West Wales as well as parts of England including Herefordshire.
Visual problems are particularly prevalent among the elderly and regular eye examinations are vital in the detection and monitoring of eye disease.
The practice has undertaken further accreditation and can provide a
Low Vision Service to eligible patients. The Low Vision scheme enables
us to help make the most of the patient's vision, through low vision aids
and practical assistance, even where vision is very poor.

Our new portable retinal camera allows us to take a photograph of the back of your eyes, providing a permanent record of the retina. This can be particularly helpful in monitoring conditions such as Diabetic Retinopathy, Age Related Macular Degeneration and also detecting signs of Glaucoma.
